This large detached former farmhouse is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Wellow, famous for its May Pole. Retaining many original features including beams and wooden sash shutters, Park Farm provides the ideal family base to visit all this popular area has to offer. Set off the main road down a track, close to Rufford Country Park, 2 miles from Centre Parcs and 4 miles from Robin Hood's Major Oak and visitors centre. Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park are close by whilst the village of Edwinstowe is just 4 miles away where Robin Hood married Maid Marian. The vibrant city of Nottingham is just 15 miles  away and the historic town of Newark is within 12 miles.  The vibrant city of Nottingham is only 15 miles away as is the historic town of Newark. There are excellent walks through Wellow Wood, which is a SSSI woodland area. Rufford Golf Course is only 2 miles away. Within the farm boundary we have made available for our guests enjoyment, stabling for your own horses or the use one of our horses, clay pigeon shooting .  Day fishing passes for the fishing pond just 50 yards away are also available. Local shops within 1 mile, pub 100 metres.

Ground floor:  Reception room with beams, dining room and snug with beams and log burning stove, kitchen has a stone floor and timber beams, there is a  large utility room.   First floor:  4 double bedrooms - one with a 6ft bed,  bathroom with toilet & basin. Second floor:  2 family bedrooms, both with a double bed & a single bed, bathroom with underfloor heating, bath, shower attachment, toilet & basin.

Services: Open fire . GFCH. Underfloor heating on ground floor with an open coal fire in front room. First basket of logs provided, bed linen (duvets) & towels etc., supplied.  Due to the rising fuel and insurance  cost we now have to charge an additional supplement of £60 pw, £40 per short break, which is payable upon arrival. Pets are welcome, but there is a charge of £15.00 per pet. Parking for 4 cars, 2 undercover.  DVD player. CD player. Electric range cooker. D/washer. F/freezer. M/wave. W/dryer. Week bookings can either start on Friday or Monday. weekend bookings start on a Friday, arrival 3pm, departure Monday 10am. Mid week short break - arrive Monday 3pm, depart Friday 10am.
